Picture this: a garden of possibilities, where each petal unfurls a new possibility and every bud holds the promise of growth and beauty. That's the magic of Blossom, and we can't wait to see how it unfolds in our lives and yours.
But before we dive into this delightful blossoming world, let's take a moment to bask in the afterglow of last year's magic word: Grateful. Oh, what a journey it was! We learned that Grateful is not just a word but a super power, a secret sauce that transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary.
In the tapestry of Grateful, we discovered that expressing thanks is a necessity, not a nicety. Saying "Thank You," even for the smallest of things, opens the heart, calms the soul, and makes us connected and happy.
When the going gets tough, finding something to be Grateful for turns even the stormiest clouds into silver linings. It's like a cosmic reset button that not only lifts your mood but also boosts your energy in the vast quantum field.
Being Grateful makes you a bona fide superhero—one with a heart full of hope and grace. It's a beacon that attracts more things to be grateful for, creating a beautiful cycle of positivity. Remember, a gracious heart is a magnet for joy, and you, dear SoulKu flower are the shining examples of that cosmic magic. We are GRATEFUL for you, eternally. Thank you.
What's amazing about choosing a word for the year (which I recommend you do for yourself!) is that it always looks different by the end. If you've paid attention and if you've opened your heart and mind to find a deeper meaning as it plays out, you see that it's journeyed with you, evolved as you have and usually takes on a whole new hue.
So may it be with Blossom. As it stands now we intend to bloom, yet are mindful of the transformation that needs to happen from seed or bud to reach that height. It's something we look forward to knowing it will not be perfect or easy, but will be astoundingly beautiful.
Wishing you a year filled with love, laughter, and the sweet fragrance of Blossoms!
XO,
Elisa & the SoulKu Team
]]>Ritual ALWAYS brings me peace. And the Winter Solstice is the perfect setting for a ritual. There's something magical about the longest night of the year that's just too good not to share. Even if ritual isn't your thing, this ritual (or exercise) is simple, significant, and nourishing for your soul. You can use both SoulKu jewelry jewelry and crystals. So grab a warm cup of cocoa, get comfy, and let's learn about this cosmic event and how we can celebrate it with some crystal magic!
First things first, what is the winter solstice?! It's the astronomical phenomenon that occurs on December 21st when the Earth's axial tilt is farthest from the sun, resulting in the shortest day and longest night of the year. It's like Mother Nature taking a deep breath, a pause in the hustle and bustle of the solar system.
For our ancestors, the winter solstice was a big deal. It marked the turning point, the promise that after the darkest night, the days would gradually grow longer, bringing warmth and light back into their lives. It's a celebration of hope, rebirth, and the eternal dance between darkness and light.
Now, let's get down to the fun part—creating a winter solstice ritual that connects us to this celestial spectacle. And what better way to amplify the cosmic vibes than with SoulKu jewelry and crystals?
Here's a simple yet powerful ritual you can try:
Create a cozy space in your home. Light some candles, dim the lights, and maybe even play some soothing instrumental music in the background.
We suggest the following crystals that align well this season. It's up to you which crystals and how many you use. Choose them based on what you'd like to embrace and amplify for the year to come.
This grounding crystal is perfect for connecting with the earth's energy during a transformative time.
This harmonizing crystal amplifies intention and serves as a beacon of light during the longest night. This is a good stone for when you need to call light into your life after a dark period.
This nurturing crystal amplifies tranquility and provides a calming energy that soothes any anxieties and fears, much like the assurance of brighter days ahead.
Known as the "Merchant's Stone," this energetic crystal carries encourages abundance and joy. Use it to manifest positive energy and welcome prosperity in the coming year.
This soothing and nurturing crystal brings a sense of peace and calm. It can also be used to enhance confidence and communication, both with yourself and others, fostering understanding and harmony.
Hold a SoulKu piece of jewelry or crystal in your hand and take a few deep breaths. Feel the unique energies and allow each crystal to guide you through a specific aspect of reflection.
Black Tourmaline: Ground yourself by reflecting on challenges and obstacles you've faced.
Clear Quartz: Amplify your intentions by focusing on the light and positive moments of the past year.
Lepidolite: Embrace tranquility by acknowledging moments of peace and personal growth.
Citrine: Envision abundance and joy, reflecting on moments of prosperity and gratitude.
Blue Lace Agate: Reflect on confidence, communication, and relationships—considering both the challenges and the harmonious connections.
Speak your Intentions aloud or in your mind, expressing gratitude for the lessons learned and releasing any negativity or burdens.
Hold the crystal(s) in your hand, visualizing the return of light and joy. Set positive Intentions for growth, love, and prosperity. Place them somewhere sacred where they will receive the first light of the morning, symbolizing the emergence from darkness into a vibrant and abundant new beginning.
Take a moment to simply be, appreciating the present and the potential of the future.
Express gratitude for the experience and the unique energies of each crystal. Keep these crystals in that special place or wear them to serve as a powerful reminder of your Intentions throughout the year.
With these additional crystals, your winter solstice ritual becomes an even more holistic and transformative experience.
May the energies of Black Tourmaline, Clear Quartz, Lepidolite, Citrine, and Blue Lace Agate guide you towards a year filled with grounding, light, abundance, tranquility, and harmonious connections. Here's to a magical winter solstice and the journey ahead!

By tracking the full moons and their meanings we hope to inspire, enlighten, and inform you of the energetic shifts that are on their way to you.
As usual there will be a push pull between two energies and an invitation to find balance between them.
TAURUS MOON TAURUS MOON energetics are earthy, practical, peace-loving. Taurus is solid form and finds emotional fulfillment through the simple, tangible things in life.
while....
SCORPIO SUN energetics are emotional, transformative, crisis oriented. Scorpio is transformational and draws attention to complexities, intangibles and mysteries.
To add to that, this is the last in a series of 7 eclipses on the same axis of Taurus and Scorpio, which has been going on for years. This underlines, highlights, prompts, demands (!) that you look at the importance of finding balance between these two energetics.
This eclipse, in combination with the Full Moon, requires us to strike a balance between Taurus (solid form, the simple and the tangible) and Scorpio (the complicated, the chaotic and the ephemeral).
This opposition can be illustrated simply by imagining you have some sort of crisis. In the beginning it is painful, chaotic, fleeting, unknowable (Scorpio like). To move through the crisis you lean into grounding, peace seeking, simplicity, the things you know are reliable and solid (Taurus like). Scorpio energy is required for times of transformation, and Taurus energies can rescue us and help us turn chaos into foundation, crisis into rootedness.
This is a passionate and creative Full Moon eclipse ripe with possibilities and opportunities for learning. Lunar eclipses have the tendency to bring the dysfunctional areas of our lives to our attention. Relationships in particular can be challenged, broken or strengthened at this time. Epiphanies are likely at this time as well. Understanding what's happening in the sky can help us to understand what's happening in our lives and act as a road map for right action.
Bobcats move quietly, mysteriously. They are so elusive they're almost never seen. Bobcat Animal Medicine acts as a reminder that not all things in life can be explained or understood through the power of intellect. At its best, its most glorious, life is a total mystery.
If you're trying to "figure things out," find logical explanations, or predict what will happen based on just reasons and facts, you may remove the limitless possibilities that the Universe has in store for you.
While we all want to know what's going to happen next, this doesn't leave room for spirit to dance with you. It doesn't leave room for the unexpected. And let's face it, isn't it the unexpected that usually transforms our life?
Even when what you are experiencing isn't what you wanted (especially when it's unwanted), Bobcat invites you to excitedly say to yourself, "Oh my Goddess! What amazing thing does the Universe have in store for me?!"
Bobcat asks you to let go of needing to know. We don't/can't actually know anyway—that is just an illusion. You'll find more peace in accepting the unknowable and rooting for whatever magic the Universe has planned.
By tracking the full moons and their meanings we hope to inspire, enlighten, and inform you of the energetic shifts that are on their way to you.
As usual there will be a push pull between two energies and an invitation to find balance between them.
ARIES MOON energetics are about self assertion, leadership, and personal courageousness. It values authenticity over tact and is energized by independence.
while....
LIBRA SUN energetics are about compromise, the need for relationships, and all that comes with maintaining them— negotiation, graciousness, patience, balance, diplomacy, equality, and justice.
Here's where the conflict or the search for balance comes into play. This Full Moon is inviting you to harmonize attending your personal needs versus attending to the needs of others, self care vs the care of (significant) others. It's asking your to investigate your own independence or autonomy and your dependence or companionability.
This Aries Full Moon illuminates the conflict between "me" and "you."
Owl reminds us that the wisdom inside us, the Universal wisdom, is absolutely available to us if we nurture and cultivate it. It is ever present and our birthright as spiritual beings having human experiences. Even in the darkest night the Owl sees and knows all.
It has been my practice for the last several months to begin my day with a 30 minute guided meditation. I cannot say enough about what this has done for my mind and my life. It has literally rewired my brain AND re-opened my intuition and my connection to my highest self. This is Owl Animal Medicine at work.
Intuition is simply clarity of mind. It's not as quiet as a hunch or a feeling, yet it makes you trust those hunches and feelings a lot more. It is a literal clearing away of the fog that can surround charged communications or situations.
Owl Animal Medicine says, "If you allow yourself to be objective, your intuition and wisdom is easy and super clear." It's not a small voice, but your own voice, your own knowing—but you must be still to hear it. You must put space between your, your thoughts, your feelings, and all the sensual things you take in. Only then will you find the clarity that intuition can bring.
Obviously I recommend a meditation practice to help you tap into this wisdom. Some prefer writing or chanting or hot yoga, but whatever it is you choose look for something that allows you some time for true observation. Only then, will you know Owl Animal Medicine.
To enhance my meditation practice I use gemstones to help amplify whatever I am doing in my meditation—whether it be focusing, manifesting, or simply listening, I find that crystals are super, super helpful in hearing that intuitive voice.
You'll want to focus on stones that will open your Third Eye chakra (the 6th chakra) that is located in the center of your forehead and associated with the color Indigo. Crystals and stones that fall into that color spectrum work to open, enhance, and fortify your intuition.
By tracking the full moons and their meanings we hope to inspire, enlighten, and inform you of the energetic shifts that are on their way to you.
As usual there will be a push pull between two energies and an invitation to find balance between them.
PISCES MOON energetics center around vision for the future, spiritual health and well being, the potential for disorder and chaos, and the infinite or the unknowable. Piscean energy rules the tool we use to access our spirit—like prayer, meditation, or contemplation.
while....
VIRGO SUN energetics focus on our day-to-day functions and routines, our physical health, and the need for foundation and order in our lives. Virgo rules the personal set of tools and techniques we use to deal with everyday life.
The key to finding balance between these two energies lies in how you engage with spirit while maintaining your everyday life. If you've ever gone on a spiritually based retreat and come back into your life, there is the need for decompression, reentry and integration. This is what this push/pull is all about.
A beautiful way to help you find balance between your everyday earth life (Virgo) and the commitment to your spiritual practice (Pisces) are gemstones that ring with each sign's positive aspects.
Squirrels of course are accumulators of nuts—nuts that grow into huge trees that house and feed them and their families.
If you are reading this right now, an abundance of resources is available to you through the generosity of spirit and your hard work.
Squirrel spirit is showing up right now to remind you that all the nuts YOU have gathered and stowed away have enormous potential to grow. YOU are co-creating your own destiny, and thanks to YOU, your future looks bright.
Squirrel Animal Medicine is also a reminder to Trust the Universe! You've done all you can. Your energy will be matched. You've gained wisdom and strength. You have limitless potential. Believe in yourself just as the Universe believes in you. Let that truth wash over you. Feel the safety and security of that.
You have everything you need, right now!
By tracking the full moons and their meanings we hope to inspire, enlighten, and inform you of the energetic shifts that are on their way to you.
As always the Full Moon will cause that push/pull between the energies of the Sun and Moon. In addition to being aware of and noticing this push/pull, you can use crystals to help amplify one of the energies of this Full Moon to help create better balance.
AQUARIUS MOON energetics value independence, however it's mostly rooted in teams, community, and group spirit. Aquarians tend to not only fill their own cup but others' cups too. It's a generous and kind energy that sees the potential in people and communities. It's a dreamy, yet rooted, energy.
while....
LEO SUN energetics feel like warm light, love, bold confidence, and passion. It's a transformational energy that uplevels everyday life into vibrance and drama. It's a proud and intensely individual energetic not content with simply being one of the team.
Your Full Moon inspired job during this Full Moon, should you choose to accept it, is to find balance between these two energetics.
You can see what this push pull looks like. Finding balance between the two is the goal. In that balance you will find a lovely sense of peace and well being.
With Flamingo Animal Medicine balance comes easy. Flamingos are known for standing strong on one tiny, spindly leg. One foot in the present and one foot is not quite in the past and not quite in the future. The importance of being fully present in your life at this exact moment and all the moments to come is what Flamingo is pointing out.
Flamingo invites us to let go of the past because if you spend too much time in the past, your life resides in the past.
Flamingo Animal Medicine also invites us to let go of our (futile) desire to control the future. It is not ours in the present moment. All we really have is now—now is where the magic is happening!
While it is absolutely critical to plan for the future, you need to leave room for spirit to dance and make things even better than you hoped. If you get too fixed on specific outcomes, not only will you be disappointed if they're not what you want, but you'll be shutting off the magical possibilities that the Universe can deliver if you give it space.
Flamingo Animal Medicine also means your creativity is rising, so pay attention to the present moment so you don't miss an opportunity. Work to keep your mind, body, and spirit balanced and gather up as much information as possible in the present because it will assist you when you get where you are going.
You can trust this moment. Enjoy the in-between time. It is golden.
CAPRICORN MOON energetics concern your public persona, career, reputation, and your ability to be accountable. Things like achievement and reward/punishment are ruled by Capricorn, which asks us to consider our public and professional sense of duty and responsibility. Capricorn inspires us to be grown-up and responsible.
while....
CANCER SUN energetics focus on your private life, domesticity, the need for a foundation and a home base, and nurturance. Attachments and love are ruled by Cancer, which encourages us to value our home and our roots. Cancer is content to be dependent or codependent.
This Full Moon is inviting us to examine and balance our commitment to our careers and/or our families. In many ways, this polarity deals with the balance between conditional love and unconditional love.
If you feel you are Capricorn heavy in your energies you should lean into:
If you feel you are Cancer heavy in your energies you should lean into:
The Otter is a loving creature, who is known for the affection it shows its friends and family members. Otters nurture each other through touch. They hold paws, touch each other's faces, balance their young on their bellies for naps, and actually hug each other. They express their connections and love for each other as a way of being.
The Otter reminds us that we are not alone. And that we can nurture ourselves and those around us by expressing our love for each other. Giving love helps to receive love. It works in a beautiful circle. If you want more love, be more love. There is no time like the present. This is your sign to go hug someone and tell them how much you care.
There is no magical revelation here or earth shattering fortune with this Animal Medicine. The invitation is simply to express your love with physical touch and to be present with those you love and tell them how much you love them. The reward of this medicine is love.
I have two stories. The first is about my friend Amber who passed away from lung cancer in 2020. After her diagnosis, and when things were extremely hard and scary, I asked her what she had learned. She said people should tell people they love each other more. That if you were lucky enough to truly love someone, even (and especially) a friend, you should tell them you love them, and you should show them by hugging them and touching them so they know. She ended that conversation by telling me she loved me. It was one of the most beautiful, simple, perfect moments of my life.
The other story is about another friend who was just diagnosed with cancer. She said while she had her MRI she meditated and asked the question "What am I to learn from this?" The answer that was revealed to her was to feel the all love around her. This is hard for my friend. She's always the one who gives love. But her lesson was to feel and receive love this time. To understand her incredible value as a human through experiencing all the love she had cultivated around herself.
As you dance with Otter Animal Medicine, know you are not alone. You are connected to so many people and so many people love and adore you. Allow yourself to feel that love. Allow yourself to give and receive love. No matter what happens in our lives, our friends and family can make it not just bearable but incredible. Love is what it's all about. This is your reminder.
In centuries past the Summer Solstice was celebrated by our ancestors with fire and ceremony, honoring the Sun when it's the highest in the sky and stretching the day into the longest one of the year. Through a ritual, we can say goodbye to darkness and welcome the intense, vibrant energies of the Sun, harnessing her great power to help us release, cleanse, and renew.
A ritual, if you don't know, is all about empowering Intentions by connecting physical actions to them. Rituals can be extremely powerful when you're wanting to set Intentions. It tells the Universe you are not only clear about your desires, but you mean it.
Rituals can help you get unstuck from the past and clear negative energy or patterns that are no longer helping you.
This Summer Solstice ritual is meant as a guide and can be done however you like. Lean in to your own intuition and make it yours.
You can use a piece of fabric, a tray, or the top of a windowsill to prepare a space for your ritual. Just make sure you're delineating the "space" for your sacred work with boundaries.
Then choose some sacred objects. This is always my favorite part. I look over my crystals, my found items (like feathers, sea shells, acorns) and choose what I am drawn to most. I arrange them around a candle in the middle of my space. You can pull an oracle card, place flowers in the space, do whatever feels good to make it yours. Light your candle, and as you do, recognize and honor the gift of the Sun.
You can purify your space by burning a sustainable herbal bundle, palo santo, incense, anything that you like. Waft the smoke over your space and yourself, and allow it to cleanse and purify the space, making room for new Intentions.
Once you have cleared your mind, consider what new way of being you want to call forth. How do you want to be and feel from this moment forward? What are the Intentions you want to manifest for yourself this new season? Take your time and work to envision who and what you will be and how that feels. Feel it. Know it. Embrace it with every cell in your being.
You now sit on the precipice of your new life. The opportunity to release, to grow, to change, and to welcome a new beginning is upon you. Give thanks. You are co-creating your new reality, and The Universe will support it. There is so much to be thankful for. Sit inside your gratitude. It helps to move the energy forward.
When you are done, you may leave your candle burning—if it's safe. I generally allow my candle to burn down until it goes out forever, which feels very solidifying to me. It honors the Sun and roots its energy into my life.
I keep my ritual space up as long as possible. Sometimes for months at a time or until my Intention has been Manifested or The Universe gives me an even better Manifestation that I first imagined. That happens a lot.
Regardless, as you do take apart your sacred space, be sure to cleanse and bless it afterwards.
If you need a quick recap on The Enneagram, you can learn more HERE. In this age of technology that keeps most of us at an arm's length hungry for connection, it's a beautifully reassuring tool we can use to know ourselves and each other better.
We hope to be in service with the Enneagram Collection by helping you get to know more deeply your own type, what nurtures you, how to help others by seeing them more clearly through knowing their type, and how to utilize the amazing power of gemstones to lean into and support each type.
And did you know each of us have ALL the Types in us. One or two are likely more dominant, but no matter your Type, understanding them all helps you better understand and have compassion for others.
See our other posts on Type 2, Type 3, Type 4, Type 5, Type 6, Type 7, Type 8, & Type 9.
According to our Enneagram expert Sarajane Case, Type Ones can be described as the following:
Basic Desire: “I want to be good person, to have balance, to live in my integrity.”
Basic Fear: “I’m afraid of being a bad person. Of being evil or corrupt.”
Super Ego Message: “Most of my life I’ve believed that I’ll be okay if I just do the right thing.”
Type Ones are disciplined, discerning, and judicious. They learned somewhere along the way that the world is corrupt, and it’s their duty to always do the right thing as a way to mend things. They tend to view the world in black and white—right and wrong— and strongly value fairness, justice, and order. Type Ones reject their natural impulse toward pleasure, sometimes even if the pleasure is a victimless enjoyment. There’s almost a natural rejection to the animalistic side of being human. An impulse may rise up inside of them only to be held inside and ultimately repressed.
Type Ones are hardworking, honest, refining, organized, structured, and likely the best person you know.
Self care is critical for Type Ones who tend to put others' needs or perceptions above their own.
Be brave. Let yourself struggle and fail, learn to process it, not avoid it. A life worth living is a life where things are messy and not always exactly like you planned. It's OK!
Plan time alone. Time where you just care for yourself and your own needs. Remind yourself the world doesn't need you all the time to be ok. Do things that seem unproductive, like dancing just to dance or laying in a hammock on a summer day.
Allow yourself to be angry, sad, or jealous. Feel the feelings you deem "unacceptable." You're human, just like everyone else, and it's ok to not be happy and enthusiastic all the time.
Discuss your pain with those you trust. The goal is to be loved for your authentic self, not your controlled self. Know that people love you—even when you're not "perfect." The real, vulnerable you is a wonderful addition to the human race. You can help a Type One by offering your support and a non-judgemental point of view... and maybe even a shift in perspective on any given situation. Remind them the goal is to be human, not perfect.
Encourage time for playfulness. Take them on outings that allow them to fully unplug. Facilite taking things less seriously, by taking things less seriously.
Acknowledge and appreciate when they do nice things for you. Also notice and compliment their integrity, not their perfectionism.
Together with Sarajane we selected Fluorite for Type Ones to help boost positivity and encourage playfulness and joy. The word "Fluorite" comes from the Latin word for "flux," referring to the gems ability to flow in flux and harmony with a range of other materials. If we take that word in a more spiritual sense it beautifully summarizes the mood of Fluorite—one that is all about establishing balance, joy, and harmony.
Its ability to absorb negative energy and enrich the soul with positive vibrations has made it desirable for people who would like to maintain a level of tranquility in their life. This powerful crystal is known to enhance the natural aura and help one feel centered and connected. It ushers in a sense of order and cleanses stagnant energies which hold us back in daily life. It provides the strength needed to purify our minds, so we’re able to think and see clearly.
By tracking the full moons and their meanings we hope to inspire, enlighten, and inform you of the energetic shifts that are on their way to you.
As always the Full Moon will cause that push/pull between the energies of the Sun and Moon.
This particular opposition has a high focus on the mind.
Sagittarius energetics focus on the "higher mind," encouraging us to be intuitive and think more broadly. It encourages a quest for meaning and ideas that are beyond the here and now. A desire to see what else is out there, beyond what we already know and are comfortable with.
Gemini energetics focus on the "lower mind," encouraging logical thinking, comfortability in the immediate environment, schedules, routines, and finding safety in what is already known and concrete.
The invitation here is to examine the ways in which you live your life as far as being methodical, planned, logical versus out of the box thinking, spiritual awareness, listening to your intuition, being ok with feeling uncomfortable, dealing with the unknown, and how you can dance in between the two.
If you tend more towards Gemini maybe you're playing it too safe. Perhaps the routines you've created to live are keeping you from truly living. Maybe there's an opportunity to move out of your comfort zone more and explore some unknowns. Is there a chance to inject some more intuitive thinking and decrease the amount of purely logical thought?
If you tend more towards Sagittarius maybe you need some grounding. You may be so far out there with your adventurousness that you feel a bit unmoored. Is it time to set down some roots and make things a little more stable? Can you strike more of a balance between full intuitive guidance and logic?
Finding a balance is where it's at. BOTH energetics are necessary to thrive.
Here's where the crystal magic comes in! Crystals can help you amplify the Sagittarius or Gemini parts of yourself so that you may find the balance you need.
When we think of Dogs, one word comes to mind...loyalty. Dogs are so very loyal and loving—even to owners who mistreat them, yet dogs always seem to find a place in their huge hearts to love and love with abandon.
This is the medicine of Dog. It's a love larger than we usually have the capacity to understand. It's not a love that is co-dependent or opens us up for abuse of any kind, but it's an unconditional, non-judgemental kind of love that recognizes everyone has faults, everyone is broken to some extent, and everyone deserves love—even if it needs to be a far, distant love.
Dogs inspire us to look at people from a much higher lens—a rosy one that encompasses the knowledge that we are all still learning, we are all still on our path, and that love is so much easier to give when we are empathetic, compassionate, forgive, and accept people for who they are in any given moment.
In so many ways, leaning into Dog medicine allows us to let ourselves off the hook with difficult emotional ties. You may be in a place where you feel your loyalty is being tested. Dog medicine would ask that you consider that. While not everyone should be trusted, there should be room for love to exist between two people who have a connection. So that while you don't need to have this person in your life, you can still love them, forgive them, and wish them well. As the sacred Dog would.
When we think of Dogs and the way they greet us when we walk in a room with love and trust and abandon, we can also be inspired by their lack of self consciousness. Their innate ability to make us smile, draw them near to us, to move us towards play, delight, glee, friendliness...it's just beautiful and so life affirming.
Dog medicine also teaches us to love ourselves as if we were the person our Dog thinks we are. Imagine if you greeted yourself the way a dog greets you. If you loved yourself the way a Dog loves you. Life would be so wonderfully full and sweet! Ah Dog medicine....

According to our Enneagram expert Sarajane Case, Type Nines can be described as the following:
Basic Desire: “It’s important to me that I maintain my peace of mind.”
Basic Fear: “I worry about creating rifts with people in my life that cannot be repaired.”
Super Ego Message: “I know that I will be ok as long as those around me are also ok.
Type Nines are empathetic, easy going, and peaceful. In childhood Nines learned that the best way to keep the peace was to minimize their own presence. They absorbed the idea that if they were to speak up and ask for what they need, then they would just be creating more problems. This can lead to a lifetime of learning to merge their desires with the needs of the room. A practice that ultimately makes Nines quite likable and also disconnected from a deep understanding of who they really are and what they want.
Type Nines are conscientious, adaptable, selfless, and likely the most likable person you know.
As a Type 9, recognize that risk taking can be reframed as opportunities for growth and seek to take risks on a regular basis.
Give yourself permission to voice your wants, needs, and desires to others without feeling fear, guilt, or shame. Normalize asking for what you want, even if it may hurt someone else's feelings.
Set boundaries, especially in toxic relationships, without the need to explain. Feel the strength in that.
Remember that conflict is actually an important part of relationships and human life. Conflict isn't bad, it's an opportunity for necessary growth.
Honor the parts of yourself that encourage and facilitate peace with others. Recognize and celebrate the fact that you are a peacemaker, a lover, a kindhearted, generous soul who wants to do good in the world and see peace. Do things where those sorts of conflict resolution skills and compassion are needed.
Because Nines so rarely rock the boat in fear of losing a person from their life all together, encourage them when they do have differing opinions or wants and let them know they are safe to express those opinions or wants.
Take them seriously when they ask for something and do everything you can to help them get it.
Encourage or facilitate some form of adventurousness in them. Plan a trip or encourage something slightly outside their comfort zone. AND listen to them if they say no and respect their feelings. It's all a learning experience for them.
Recognize when they do get loud—this may have been bottled up for sometime and isn't 100% just about what's happening currently. Encourage them to let steam out a little at a time instead of being passive aggressive and then explosive.
They will almost always put your needs ahead of their own needs, so ask them questions. What would you like to do? How are you feeling? What do you want? What do you need? This will help them articulate needs and not feel as though needs are hostile acts, but regular parts of human living.
Together with Sarajane we selected Iolite for Type Nines encourage self-awareness, self-expression, and discover and use one's own voice. Iolite is a remarkable stone that roots in a sense of worthiness and amplifies our abilities to speak up, to nurture our wounded inner child, set boundaries, and show up as ourselves without apology.
It's also a time to examine certain aspects about the way you are. Because of the polarity in the sky between the Moon and Sun there is the invitation to examine the balance between these two energetics.
SCORPIO MOON energetics feel like the destruction of form, change and transformation, and draws our attention to complexities, intangibles, and mysteries.
Crystals to support and cultivate Scorpio energy are Labradorite for Transformation, Botswana Agate for Change, Amazonite for Courage, and Mookaite for Motivation.
TAURUS SUN energetics are all about physical matter, personal values, material goods, possessions, and security. It's also about finding happiness with the simple, tangible things in life.
Crystals to support and cultivate Taurus energy are Howlite for Calm, Rainbow Tourmaline for Happiness, Smoky Quartz for Grounding & Release, Prasiolite for Heart Opening.
This Full Moon illuminates the conflict between surface value and depth, between form and the formless and simplicity and complexity.
In layman's terms, you may want to contemplate how you feel about change—is it ok with you or do you dread the unknown? Are there many complexities to your thoughts, your relationships, your job? Do you find pleasure in that or is it dragging you down? Do you find happiness in simple things or does it have to be really big for you to celebrate it? Do you need to simplify your life? Is there too much chaos? Or are things too easy and predictable?
The effects of the Full Moon will last for the next two weeks. But of course, if there are changes you want to work on, to nurture and cultivate in your life going forward, we suggest leaning into crystals and stones to help uplevel your vibration and act as a reminder of your Intentions.
Foxes are stealthy, focused, and cunning. They are wild and magical, as well as tricky and wise. Often foxes are portrayed as mischievous, thieving, and deceptive—perhaps because they are so destructive to smaller livestock, tend to move around a lot without ever being seen, and have those sharp, observant faces. They, along with their sister coyotes and crows, are the tricksters of the animal world.
Curious what you can learn from the Fox?
The Fox's trickster wisdom is profound wisdom. It can be confusing, paradoxical, and seemingly oppositional. It is wisdom only gained once we are far enough away to see the whole picture. It requires distance, time, and a conscious effort to see the whole truth. Trickster wisdom helps us to see that things are not always as they first seem. It's important to remember that even if you don't seem to be "winning" now, the story is far from over. Fox Animal medicine teaches us to continue to pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and keep moving forward. You've still got this, you know?
In a tricky situation use your creative mind to explore unexpected solutions. Turn things on their head. Embrace a wild approach—especially if you're looking to restore some balance in your life when things have become too calm or domesticated.
Fox will be there for you during times when you feel you've been duped by life. Those times when you want to wallow in self pity or resentment. Yet the Fox coaxes us to tune into our wild selves, shake it off and own up to your imperfections. Afterall, we are all imperfect.
There are some crystals and stones that perfectly align with Fox medicine— helping us to see the forest for the trees, encouraging wildness, and restoring our faith in ourselves and our world when we feel tricked or resentful.

According to our Enneagram expert Sarajane Case, Type Eights can be described as the following:
Basic Desire: “It’s important to me that I am able to determine my own path in life.”
Basic Fear: “I am most afraid of being harmed or controlled by others.”
Super Ego Message: “I know that I will be ok as long as I remain strong and powerful.”
Type Eights are strong, charismatic leaders. In childhood Eights often experienced some form of betrayal—something that settled the idea into them that they would need to take care of themselves. Because of this they learn to lean on their strength and hide their vulnerabilities to prevent being open and susceptible to further betrayal in the future. This can lead Eights to develop a constant defensive stance, which can happen both in defense of themselves but also in defense of those in need.
Type Eights are bold, independent, honest, magnanimous, and likely the person who has continually pushed you to be more thoughtful, egalitarian, and driven in your own life.
Because of fear of betrayal, many Type Eights may find the idea of therapy out of the question. However, allowing yourself to emotionally build trust with a professional therapist is one of the best things you can do to break through your long held beliefs that people are ultimately untrustworthy. This will be LIFE CHANGING!
Self-care is seriously critical for Eights. You won't win a prize for pushing yourself beyond your limits. Be kind to yourself and your body. Resting and relaxing isn't a failure, it's a statement to the Universe that says, "I don't need to accomplish something to be worthy of being healthy, happy, and relaxed."
Say "No." Understand it's a full sentence. Eights tend to lack boundaries and say yes, not to people please, but because they want to appear as though they can handle everything and anything. Say "No" more often and see how good it feels to not have to prove yourself all the time. That is true power.
Allow time for journaling, exploring the root of your anger, meditation, and relaxation. You don't always have to hustle. Go slow. Enjoy small moments of not being busy. Spend time with children and animals. They will nurture your giant heart.
Embrace the idea you are wonderful and worthy of love, compassion, and support. Entertain the idea that the world is a loving place, and look for signs showing this to be true.
Type Eights tend towards confrontation. Try your very best to be kind and patient with them during conflict. Try to look beyond the surface. Their desire to be combative is less about encouraging conflict and more about trying to make everything ok again.
When they are emotional, give them time to process and decompress. Being vulnerable is very hard for an Eight, so have sympathy for however long it takes to come back to themselves and trust they will.
Don't ever shame an Eight. It will cause regression. Eights need consistent love, trust, support, and encouragement.
Be trustworthy.
Eights will value you sharing your honest thoughts and feelings. This will make them feel loved and give them a sense of belonging.
Help them to use their energy in constructive ways. Allow them to take charge, be powerful, and feel protective.
Together with Sarajane we selected Pyrite for Type Eights to encourage a quiet confidence and to support rest and renewal. Pyrite is a wonderful stone to aid in grounding, connecting the wearer to the earth and all that is solid and known. It's a soothing stone that carries a quiet power and vibrates in a calming and compassionate way. It supports the wearer during conflict by easing the senses and nervous system and guiding the higher self.
It's also a time to examine certain aspects about the way you are. Because of the polarity in the sky between the Moon and Sun there is the invitation to examine the balance between these two energetics.
As with all Full Moons, these two energies are in a bit of a push/pull situation, which basically asks us to contemplate and strike a balance between the two.
Libra energy focuses on relationships and all that comes with maintaining them—compromising, negotiating, grace, and balance. Also this energy tends to focus on diplomacy, fairness, and equality.
Aries energy, on the other hand, is much more self focused. It's about leadership, ambition, and courage. It's a "just the facts" kind of energy, and it prizes independence.
This Full Moon asks us to strike a balance between meeting our personal needs and attending to the needs of a significant other or a balance between independence or autonomy and dependence or companionability.
Such an interesting little creature–believe it or not, it has been considered sacred since Greek and Roman times.
Did you know Seahorses have eyes that can look in opposite directions at the same time? This allows them to have incredible perspective and observation.
The Seahorse asks that you step back from a situation that is captivating your attention and causing you to participate in things you know are not in your best interest, or worse, out of your integrity.
This is not your fight, and even if you want to jump in and try to fix something, the very best way to be in service is actually to step back, remain calm, and try to be as neutral as possible.
It's probable that you don't have all the facts and you need to observe the situation from a different angle. From the perspective of a balanced neutral observer, you will see all kinds of choices and opportunities you didn't see before. You'll also give yourself a chance to learn from the situation, gain wisdom, and empart beauty, truth, and love. You need only remove yourself emotionally and be a "Seahorse on the wall."
This is difficult to do when you feel your heart is involved, but Seahorse is saying, watch and wait. Trust. The truth will be revealed. The calmest one in the room is always the most powerful.

According to our Enneagram expert Sarajane Case (who also happens to be a Type 7 herself), Type Sevens can be described as the following:
Basic Desire: “It’s important to me that I remain happy, satisfied, and fulfilled.”
Basic Fear: “I am most afraid of being deprived and trapped in negative emotions.”
Super Ego Message: “I know that I will be ok as long as I get my needs met.”
Type Sixes are aware, loyal, and hardworking. They learned from a young age to keep their eyes open to potential threats as a way to never get caught off guard.
Type Sevens are cheerful, fun loving, and adventurous. In childhood Sevens often lost faith in the potential for them to find adequate nurturing. Through this process they learned to nurture themselves through staying entertained and choosing positive emotions. While there is a nice side to being able to care for yourself, it is often what creates a cycle of excessive indulgence for Sevens. They spend a lot of their time focused on the next great experience—looking for the next good thing to keep them occupied and entertained.
Type Sevens are curious, bold, fast learners, joyful, and often somewhat of a renaissance person.
Sevens need to fill their core desire of fun by doing things that are new, entertaining, and fulfilling. Making healthy choices in this arena is key.
Connecting with friends is super important - and not just surface connections - look for meaningful conversations and idea exchanges. Don't hang out with people just to stave off loneliness.
Journaling about feelings is also super helpful. Sevens tend to struggle in the face of negativity, and by journaling Sevens can get more comfortable with all types of feelings and know that they will pass.
Don't be afraid to admit to and talk about your struggles with someone you trust. This is a good way to go within and give yourself the opportunity to heal wounds.
Treat yourself to daily silence, to just allow thoughts and feelings to flow.
Sevens can be glutinous in their search for pleasure—overeating, drinking to excess, gambling, or having sex can be used as an escape, so be aware when you're over indulging and take a step back from any behavior that makes you feel badly after you've done it.
If you love someone who is a Type Seven, the best thing you can do is be a good listener. Sevens don't complain a lot, but when they do, take it to heart that your Seven is really struggling with something.
Be emotionally supportive and available for them to process negative feelings, which really frightens Sevens. Be trustworthy with any information they share, so the are encouraged to share more.
Help them have fun in healthy ways. Don't plan a night out of drinking. Find interesting and unique experiences that will entertain and engage. Think outside the box.
Support healthy hobbies. Be proactive in encouraging your Seven to pursue their passions.
Together with expert Sarajane we selected BLACK TOURMALINE for Type Sevens to help ease negative feelings and encourage focus and follow-through. Black Tourmaline is a protective stone that can help the wearer feel calm, strong, and ready to address deeper issues. It aids in self awareness and self love and ultimately helps the wearer to find value in their own thoughts and feelings and treat themselves with respect.
By tracking the full moons and their meanings we hope to inspire, enlighten, and inform you of the energetic shifts that are on their way to you.
Because of this Virgo-Pisces axis, we're being asked to examine the following Virgo energies: day-to-day functions and routines, the health of our body, and the desire for order. Additionally we must examine the following Pisces energies: vision, spiritual well-being, disorder, and the infinite.
Virgo is all about the tools, the techniques, the science (if you will), while Pisces is all about the ineffable, the ethereal spirit, the seen versus the unseen. The things we can absolutely trust and know versus the things we can't put our fingers on, yet believe to be true. Fact versus Faith.
It's entirely possible there is, or has recently been, some sort of crisis or growing awareness of something that is missing, and this time will provide an opportunity to explore how to address your emotional needs within the balance of these two energies.
This Full Moon is asking us to try and find a balance between work and emotional service, what's practical and what's not, judgement, and acceptance.
Like the age old question—"How do we do the dance between our human selves and our spirit selves?" How do we nurture both parts and find balance and happiness with the visible and invisible?
This will be an emotional time. So here's what you can do:
The full moon's effects last about two weeks, and during this time there are crystals that mirror the energies of Virgo and Pisces. But these energies can also be used forever, if you'd like to find your own balance.
Bat Animal Medicine is an invitation to a new life, a new purpose. This transformation can be painful if we struggle to hold on to the things we already know do not serve us. Fear, anxiety, or pain can arise when we don't trust that the Universe has our back, or we imagine that releasing what isn't serving will lead to an unspeakable darkness. This is NEVER the case. So have faith!
It is only when we truly face our darkness and trust our innate knowing of what is right and wrong, what is needed or not needed, that we can find the pure light of our rebirth.
It is impossible to grow spiritually until we release the parts of ourselves, our lives, that do not serve. Facing our fears and letting go can be scary, and that's OK. We have stones to support you!
Humans tend to be afraid of bats, but don't let that captivate you. Bats sleep in darkness, and this is symbolic of the womb. Bats hang downward, symbolic of a baby before it is born. Bats are highly sensitive to their surroundings, which is interpreted as an awakening or a deeper trusting of one's own intuition.
There is nothing more powerful than facing your fears. Bat Animal Medicine will help you see through the darkness and find a new way of understanding that you haven't yet known or maybe even considered. Face your fears. Be flexible. Prepare for rebirth. The time is now. The POWER is yours.

According to our Enneagram expert Sarajane Case, Type Sixes can be described as the following:
Basic Desire: “It’s important to me that I feel secure and supported.”
Basic Fear: “I am fearful of being left out on my own, being without support and guidance, and won’t be able to survive without it.”
Super Ego Message: “I know I will be ok as long as I know what is expected of me and make a point to follow through with those expectations.”
Type Sixes are aware, loyal, and hardworking. They learned from a young age to keep their eyes open to potential threats as a way to never get caught off guard.
Sixes contain a conflicted relationship to authority. While there is a comfort found in having a system or a group they belong to—a place where they always know what’s expected of them—there is also a rebellion to authority that they do not trust or respect. There is a fearlessness in the face of untrustworthy authority.
Sixes hold a continued awareness of potential threats or loss of safety. This can look like skepticism of new people and awareness of physical threats or financial threats. While Sixes are not always walking around frantic, anxious, and uneasy, they are walking around with eyes wide open to what is present but also what could be present in the future or hidden between the lines of what is being shared.
Type Sixes are prepared, community oriented, reliable, engaging, and likely one of the most courageous people you know.
If you're a Type Six, it's helpful to work towards fulfilling your core desire for safety and security by doing things that will make you feel grounded. This could be spending time in nature, connecting with a trusted friend, or preparing and eating a healthy meal. Self care, while it seems pretty basic, is a huge component in building the trust in yourself for yourself that will help you move past the unhealthy ways your need for safety and security can present.
You can also self-affirm with the statement, "It's OK to trust myself." And then trust yourself. See what happens when you count on you to have your own back.
Practice more productive thinking. Instead of always thinking about what the worst thing that could happen, think about the best thing that could happen. Chances are you'll end up somewhere in the middle.
Start each day by giving yourself credit. Say three nice things about yourself, and say them outloud.
Encourage your Six to notice and acknowledge the positives. When they seem to spiral towards talking about all that's wrong, help them see what's right— especially who or what they can trust.
Provide them with a solid sounding board. Try to be as objective as possible and listen when they vent, but don't join in. Defuse rants when possible with alternative meanings behind their interpretations of other people's words or actions. No need to be untruthful, but look for the possibility that your Six may be taking something personal, that isn't.
Be consistent and trustworthy. Share your own TRUE personal thoughts and feelings to build trust with your Six.
Together with Sarajane, we selected Pink Chalcedony for Type Sixes to transform self-doubt into self-trust, peace, and optimism! It helps with self soothing, calming, and centering emotional energy. It's also a nurturing stone that helps to promote brother and sisterhood—encouraging trustful, reliable bonds to form. And Pink Chalcedony helps to absorb negative energy and bring the mind, body, and spirit into harmony.
This is the perfect time for setting Intentions or launching a project. A time to ground your ideas and plans and get clarity around a new direction. Depending on what sign the New Moon is in, you can lean into and receive guidance and energy in a specific area of your life based on the energetics of that sign.
The New Moon in Aquarius happens on Saturday, January 21, 2023.
Aquarian energy focuses around friendships, brother and sisterhood, community, social pursuits, teamwork, and humanitarian efforts. It's a time for coming together to accomplish a common goal, to participate in collaboration with others whose skill sets complement yours.
It's also the perfect time for out of the box thinking—while leaning into the knowing that we are all part of one huge collective and we each bring something unique and powerful to any table. It is the very definition of belonging.
Aquarian energy feels like hope. It feels like positivity. And yet, there is an objectivity to it—a less emotional and more logical approach that is incredibly helpful for brainstorming, supporting, and moving through things that at one point seemed impossible or unthinkable. It's honesty and openness, with an agreed upon common goal for the good of all. It's a BEAUTIFUL time to enjoy and celebrate all of the people and communities in your life and to encourage and grow them with new vision.
While the New Moon's effects can only be felt for two weeks, if these needs or energetics resonates with you or if it's something you would like to nurture and grow in yourself, your workplace, or community, there are gemstones that echo these energetics and can be used or worn to cultivate your desires long term.
Raven Magic is a powerful medicine that can give you all kinds of courage to enter the so-called void, The Great Mystery, the place from which all things, all ideas, all life, springs. Raven is the messenger between the two worlds and will help you bring things into form.
It may be a transformative change in consciousness—an invitation to walk a new and different path. It may be the manifestation of an Intention. It may be the opening up of your soul to allow for the unimaginable. It is a good omen. It is a blessing. You only need to say, "Yes."
Ravens are a beautiful, iridescent blue/black, which is the color of the void. In Native American teachings the color black can potain to a spiritual seeking, the magic of darkness, or the road to spiritual awakening.
Ravens are the guardians of magic and healing. With Raven's help one can shift perspectives to have a change in consciousness that brings about a new reality and can dispel "dis-ease" or illness.
Ravens are the messengers that carry the flow of energy from the ceremony to the receiver. It is the wings that your prayers glide on to reach their intended destination.
Raven Animal Medicine puts you on alert that Magic is in the air and on its way to you. You don't need to try to figure anything out. It's already happening. Something very special is in the works. Do not block it. Accept it with relish. This is your birthright. Your gift from the heavens.
Raven brings forth the Magic from the darkness, so now you must bring it to the light. The Universe is ready and waiting.

According to our Enneagram expert Sarajane Case, Type Fives can be described as the following:
Basic Desire: “It’s important to me that I am capable, competent, and informed.”
Basic Fear: “I most fear being helpless, useless, or overwhelmed.”
Super Ego Message: “I know that I will be ok as long as I have something that I’ve truly mastered.”
Type Fives are analytical, observant, and insightful. They often felt as if they were either unable to get their needs met by their caregivers or were consumed by the presence of their family of origin. This developed a sense that a Type Five would need to meet their own needs in private through holding onto their resources. Type Fives are intentional about managing both their resources and their energy levels. Not so much out of selfishness or stinginess, but more so out of a belief that this is what is necessary to survive. Fives hold a continued awareness of this and make decisions to prevent depletion. There is also a drive to understand the world. A need to know the intricacies of life from all angles, all timelines, and all explanations. These two pieces often play together in someone who lives life through the safety of their mind. They experience the world through research, thought, and curiosity.
Type Fives are inquisitive, economical, studious, self-sufficient, and likely the most informed person you know.
It's helpful to remind yourself that your needs are not a problem. They are your needs, and everyone deserves to have their needs met. You'll want to challenge yourself to not just understand things but to grow through that understanding. Find a job that fits your personality. You don't need to become more outgoing or affectionate or anything to succeed. If you need to leave a party or social situation, do it, unapologetically. Remind yourself again and again that you are not a burden. You are worthy just by being alive. You have nothing to prove and you're wonderful exactly how you are. It's also good to get outside your mind and into your body by hiking, practicing yoga, or walking. Try not to listen to a podcast or music while you do these things, instead take in the world around you as that will help to presence you.
Fives can be challenging to support because they tend to not believe they are worthy of your love and adoration. But they will bloom when you take the pressure off them to be a certain way. Telling them they're amazing exactly how they are is a great place to start. Make sure you are verbally giving them words of encouragement and affirmation. Help them with a project or hobby and help them to take "me time." They'd also benefit from the recognition that they are valuable for what they are and not just what they know.
Perfect for Type Fives, Lemon Quartz activates a sense of infinite abundance, energy, and strength. It helps to encourage and support a deep sense of self worth and hopefulness along with a good dose of joy in living a life in a well rounded, full way.
