Full moons carry incredible energy and can create changes in your emotions, your body, your mind, and your spirit.
By tracking the full moons and their meanings we hope to inspire, enlighten, and inform you of the energetic shifts that are on their way to you.
The Moon is full in Leo is referred to as The Full Wolf Moon due to the howling of wolves that can be heard in January. This moniker comes from Native American, Colonial American, and European sources.
This particular Full Moon is in Leo—marking the beginning of a new cycle.
The moon is full when the Aquarius sun opposes the moon in Leo. Due to this configuration, this Full Moon is all about the balance between what is personal (Leo) and what is impersonal (Aquarius).
The energy of the Leo Moon is pure, creative self-expression and the boost we get when we feel pleasure and romance. In opposition, the Aquarius Sun revolves around more surface relationships and the ability to be purely objective, without emotions. It's no wonder this full moon can feel like being pulled between two extremes!
This Full Moon is asking us—reminding us—to strike a balance between the pull to feel everything and to express ourselves, down to the cellular level, to know and honor when to be stoic, and to understand when to keep our opinions to ourselves.
For some people this is an everyday dance, and this Full Moon will especially affect those under the sign of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius.
So here's what you can do:
- Express yourself! Let your creativity be unleashed. Move that creativity out of your body, mind, and soul and into whatever form you want it to take.
- Be sure to exercise some caution. Perhaps your creativity isn't ready for prime time just yet. It's most important to move that energy and be very discriminating who you share it with.
- Be patient. The time to share will come.
