The Meaning of SoulKu
Pronounced "soul-coo." The word "Ku" in Japanese translates to "a place of infinite possibility." We like to think of our company as just that, "A place where, guided by our soul's calling, anything is possible."

We are blessed to draw inspiration from a truly magical place—Asheville, North Carolina, nestled in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Here, the mountains whisper their ancient secrets, and the rivers sing songs of old. This serene and vibrant landscape is our muse, breathing life and creativity into our designs. Within this haven, we craft each piece with love, hoping to share a piece of our inspiration with you.

"TO BE IN SERVICE"
We want to empower people like YOU who want to connect with themselves and others in their lives on a deeper level. Nothing moves us more than knowing we've helped touch someone's life. But we didn't stop at our customers. We wanted to empower our friends too, so we created a business model that employs local work from home moms who handcraft all our jewelry on their own time frame eliminating the huge financial burden of childcare.

We pride ourselves on the best customer service.
We work with local vendors whenever possible from printers to gemstone suppliers.
We value our environment and print on FSC certified paper, use only eco-friendly packaging, and we provide carbon-neutral delivery.
We donate a percentage of our proceeds each year to nonprofits who empower women, children, and families.

Origin Story
From a book club in 2007 to the powerhouse duo behind SoulKu, Allison and Elisa’s journey has been one of unwavering support and deep connection. They came together as stay-at-home moms with a dream, each bringing unique strengths—Allison with her knack for numbers and Elisa with her creative spirit. As life threw its toughest challenges—foreclosure, bankruptcy, divorce—their friendship stood as a pillar of strength, guiding them through the storm.
Their shared vision was clear: to create something meaningful that would uplift and connect people. Out of this vision, SoulKu was born, symbolizing the “infinite possibilities” of the soul.
In 2011 they created SoulKu's first collection, Soul Full of Light—simple, meaningful necklaces inspired by the healing properties of gemstones and the spiritual laws of attraction, belief, and Intention. Each necklace they made was infused with LOVE and LIGHT. And that's still how we do it today with our team of SoulKu mama makers who "heartcraft" each piece.
