what is

sacred geometry?

the blueprint for the universe & all that exists in it

“Mathematics is the alphabet with which God has written the Universe.”

- Galileo

Sacred Geometry involves sacred, universal patterns used in the design of everything in our reality, most often seen in sacred architecture and sacred art.

The basic belief is that geometry and mathematical ratios, harmonics, and proportions are found in EVERYTHING including human form, nature, music, light, and cosmology.

in nature

In nature Sacred Geometry can be found from the division of the first human cell (the egg of life), to the exact geometric measured sequences (the golden mean, Fibonacci sequence or Phi) found in the nautilus shell or the spiral of a sunflower’s center, all the way to the structure of stars and the paths our planets take as the move around the sun.

IN ART & ARCHITECTURE

Sacred Geometry has been used in art and architecture for as long as man has been creating such things. The Golden Mean is understood as the measure of beauty, which was used by the Greeks in their prolific study of the human form through sculpture. Thousands of sacred sites – such as temples, churches, and synagogues – were created using sacred geometry to perfect form.

WHAT CAN WE LEARN OR UNDERSTAND FROM SACRED GEOMETRY?

In its essence, Sacred Geometry is math in visual form. It incorporates both the left brain (intellectual, rational, logical, analytical, mathematical) and the right brain (artistic, intuitive, creative, emotional) by presenting mathematics in a geometrical form that encapsulates the divinity in building blocks of life.

It informs us as we grow to understand the commonalities we all share in structure, we are all connected, all one, all rising out of the same patterns.
