Let's Commit to CONNECT in 2020

2019 was a remarkable year for SoulKu. We fell down a lot, we stood back up a lot, we celebrated, we learned, we grew, we screamed, we worked, we cried, we laughed, we gained priceless wisdom. What a blessed year it was!

Not sure we named a specific word for our journey in 2019, but in hindsight, EXPAND would have been it. Sometimes it was further than we were ready for, but that too made us expand :).

This year–as we're thinking ahead and participating even more in the shaping of our own destiny–we decided to choose a specific word for SoulKu's 2020...

While "connect" and "connecting" have always been a huge part of SoulKu and our mission, we're looking to dig even deeper into its meaning and the actions we can take around the world that will help us to be a better company, better leaders, better employers, better producers, and better people.

Our world feels so very, very divided on the eve of this change in decade. And our hearts feel heavy with the complete lack of connection between ourselves and so many, many people out there with differing opinions. Politics have caused huge divides in our country, and one only needs to look as far as an extended family event to know that.

Do you have any idea of the power that could come from reaching out, listening, connecting, leaving judgement at the door, and finding common ground?

Can you imagine if everyone (you included) committed to connecting? And maybe, connecting beyond our comfort zone? Could you commit to connecting with someone who you don't currently connect with? What's the harm in trying to help someone feel seen, heard, and valued? Are you brave enough to accept the challenge?

We've said it before but it bears repeating, we can change everything with small, deliberate, courageous acts of connection

We are all connected. No matter what your crazy Uncle Bob says–we are all one. And when part of us is feeling unheard, unseen, and unloved it affects us all. Can we look to nurture each other and not tear each other down? Can we set a goal of connecting for 2020 and see what happens?

We're committing to it, and we'd love to have you join us!
