Quick Guide To Intention Setting

Hi Beautiful!

Do you have a SoulKu piece that you're ready to use as an aid in setting an Intention? Or maybe you're still figuring out what this whole "Intention" thing is all about. Either way, you're in the right place! So let's start with some basics to get you on your way to manifesting great things in your life!

What are Intentions?

Intentions are a soulful thought/feeling process that can be used as a way of exercising control over your life. Instead of just allowing things to happen to you, you're actively making decisions to guide the direction your life will take.

"If goals are on your to do list, Intentions are on your to be list."

Intentions, unlike goals, focus on the bigger picture and how you want to feel, not what you want to do.

Here are a few examples of Intentions:

  • I intend to have a strong, healthy body.
  • I intend to be a joyful, thoughtful, compassionate boss.
  • I intend to feel peaceful, grounded, and full of love.
  • I intend to be abundant in my finances.
  • I intend to create healthy relationships with those I love.

Why set Intentions?

Setting an Intention gives you clarity. The very act of asking yourself, "How do I want to feel?" makes you hone in on what's important to you and think consciously about what you need to do to get what you want.

Setting a goal of losing ten pounds is awesome, but there's not a lot of motivation, inspiration, or frankly energetic pull to do that. However, if I say, "I intend to feel healthy and have lots of energy to do the things I want to do," and I align myself with that statement, this is a better approach—and nothing can stop me.

Intentions also give the creator a sense of mindful empowerment. If you are daily aware of the Intentions you are working to manifest, your decisions will be in line with those Intentions.

For example, if I intend to have healthy loving relationships with those I love, I may not invest time in people who don't seem to be capable of reciprocating that kind of love.

How do I set an Intention?

Relax for a minute and breathe, then ask yourself, "How do I want to feel?" "What do I want my life to look like?" "What do I want to experience on a daily basis?" Think about what's important to you.

Then close your eyes and visualize your very best life. Where are you? What's happening? What are you doing? How do you feel?

Then put that into a sentence... "I intend to be adventurous." "I intend to live from a place of strength." "I intend to be an inspiration to my children." Do you get the idea?

Then, here's the hard part—let go of your Intention. Trust the Universe and let go of any and all expectations of HOW your Intention will manifest. This allows the Universe to open up wider than your imagination and deliver in many, many ways.

Pro Tip: After you've set and let go of your Intention and now trusting the Universe, focus on gratitude. If something small happens that is in alignment with your desired Intention and manifestation, celebrate it! Be incredibly grateful for each little thing along the way, and see them as stepping stones leading you to your ultimate manifestation. Gratitude is the gas that fuels manifestation. You'll be amazed at how fast you can manifest when gratitude guides you.

It's important to be mindful everyday and make Intention manifesting a practice. You will soon find yourself fine tuning each step in the process and will be a manifesting wiz in no time.

As always we're rooting for you!!! Keep up the great work!
