Lapis Lazuli has long been cherished for its deep, royal blue color, hinted with gold Pyrite that shines and dances. It's been found in the headdresses and body armor of kings and queens dating all the way back to Egypt. In fact, Cleopatra was known to have Lapis Lazuli ground into a fine powder and mixed with oils to paint her well-known "smokey blue eye."
